FAQs

What services do you offer?

I’m currently working as a Walker and a Trainer, which means that I’m out walking dogs on weekday mornings-early afternoons, and offer training consultations, 1:1 sessions, as well as group classes and workshops on weekday afternoons-evenings. I sadly don’t have the facilities to offer boarding or daycare at present!

What’s your availability?

For Training classes and workshops, please visit the ‘Classes’ page.

For 1:1 Training sessions, please see my availability and make bookings via this form.

For Walking, please get in touch with me directly; details can be found on the ‘Contact’ page.

What qualifications do you have?

I'm a fully qualified, accredited member of The IMDT, having passed their rigorous practical assessment in September 2023. This means that I have demonstrated my ability to very high standard in all areas of training, and been assessed not just on my knowledge and skillset working with dogs, but also working with people too!

I’m also a qualified Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor, which is awarded by Steve Mann and the IMDT. This means that I have trained specifically as a puppy class instructor, and again been assessed to a high standard within this particular context.

Additionally, I’ve completed training in specific areas including K9 First Aid and Canine Body Language. You can find a full list of my completed courses to date on the About page, and more information about my IMDT membership & Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor qualification on the Dog Training page.

What areas do you cover?

I walk at Croham Hurst Woods, and at the moment am only able to collect and walk dogs within the South Croydon (CR2) area to minimise car time for the dogs, as well as to allow me to do multiple rounds in a day and make training commitments!

In terms of training, I’m happy to book 1:1 sessions across a much broader area.

Locations for classes can be found on the ‘Classes’ page.

What methods do/don’t you use in training?

I am a fear and force free trainer, dedicated to avoiding the use of positive punishment and negative reinforcement as part of my training. I don’t use or advocate for the use of corrective equipment, and you’ll never find me doing, recommending, or teaching anything that is physically or mentally detrimental to your dog’s wellbeing.
